We’re the right fit for you if you love authentic & emotional moments with a natural, unforced feel. Each single time we arrive at the wedding venue with excitement and passion - even though we have easily photographed over 200 weddings. Still we feel the butterflies in our stomach before we unpack our cameras and we still get the satisfaction and tiredness when we end the day. Because each wedding is an adventure and totally unique.
It’s this dedication that allows us to notice and capture the small, meaningful details that make your wedding truly yours. Our aim is to create images that make you smile, laugh and maybe even cry years later – photographs that bring back not just memories, but feelings.
We mainly work with available light – whether it’s soft daylight, window light, candles, or the discolights of the dance floor – as it preserves the authenticity and purity of each moment. At the same time, you can fully trust that we are prepared for any lighting situation your wedding day brings.
The final images are edited in a minimalist, natural style with subtle vintage influences, ensuring a timeless look.
The spark
At a wedding, we not only focus on the main events, but always look out for that funny side-story, the exceptional light on a guest, the moments that make life colorful, even if its not what is usually considered as “beautiful“. This street style and sometimes witty element is what adds the little spark to our documentaries.
The analogue style
Another way we express our creativity is through our love for Polaroids – we’re drawn to their immediacy and unpredictability. Our digital images carry an analogue feel, adding an extra layer of candidness and authenticity.
Based between Vienna and Innsbruck, we capture weddings all across Europe. Traveling is one of the many wonderful parts of our job.

Doris: CEO & PHOTOGRAPHER
Some words about myself Hi, I’m Doris – my friends call me ‘Dodo’ 🦤, which always reminds people of the famous bird from the 16th century :) Like a bird, I’m drawn to freedom, nature, and delicious meals. Yet I grew up in a city – Vienna – so maybe I’m a pigeon after all. Just kidding! After studying sociology and living in a world of theoretical ideas, I felt the pull toward a more creative, hands-on profession. Photography turned out to be exactly that – my dream job. I also stay active in social work, engaging in educational and recreational projects with youth which beautifully complements my photography work.
What makes my heart beat faster?
I became a mum in 2025, so of course my baby boy comes first :) I also love olive trees, backpack travels, and connecting with people and animals along the way. While my lifestyle is a bit nomadic, maintaining meaningful relationships with my loved ones around the world is very important to me. I’m passionate about handcrafted projects – currently I am renovating an old VW campervan. Also, pottery and candle making are some of my favorite creative outlets. Recently, I started my own small label, ‘Maison de Dodo‘.
Unusual talents?
I have a unique ability to pack a huge amount of items into a very compact space. Which is amazing, but often exceeds the weight limit for my backpack during travels, leading to funny moments at the airport. I’m surprisingly also accurate at guessing things like weights, numbers, or distances.
SONJA: PHOTOGRAPHER
My way to photography?
Photographs have always been around me. My grandfather and my mother have taken photographs since I can remember and looking through them always makes me smile. Therefore, capturing memories has always been a part of me and I started to take pictures first with their and later on with my own camera, always on the lookout for moments, details and emotions. This led me to pursue my passion on a professional basis.
What makes my heart beat faster?
Aside from photography and making people smile when looking through their pictures, I love drawing and scribbling as well as swimming for hours and taking long walks through the country side and being mesmerized by the scenery. Aside from these, what literally makes my heart beat faster are heights – so if I’m not photographing or out an about, you might find me bouldering, which I came to love, while trying to overcome my (slight) fear, or let’s call it strong uneasiness, when being more than two meters above the ground.
If I could go anywhere, where would I go?
I’d take a trip to Canada, it has been on my bucket list for quite some time now and I’ve heard so much about the beauty of it that I can’t wait to go there next year.

My way to photography? My father was interested in photography, and we had several dozen photo magazines lying around the house. I spent countless hours looking through them, absorbing the images and immersing myself in the imagination they evoked. Perhaps this might be the reason I would spend hours with other people's cameras whenever I got my hands on them as a kid before getting my own later in life. What makes my heart beat faster?
Music holds a special place in my heart, serving as a constant companion wherever I go; it is like a soundtrack for my day-to-day life. This brings me to my second-biggest passion – playing the guitar. I am constantly driven to understand and connect with the music I listen to, which is why I dedicate time to practicing the guitar. My 3 favourites?
I like good coffee, delicious food, and the seaside—these are the simple pleasures that bring me joy. And speaking of joy, my favorite spot on Earth is a hilltop on Vis Island in the Adriatic Sea. From there, you can see the lovely town of Komiža, embraced by its bay and a scattering of islands stretching into the distance. On clear, sunny days, the outline of Italy emerges on the horizon. This is the place for the ultimate sundown in the entire Adriatic Sea.

Aslan is one of the founders of “Mit Federn & Posaunen Photography“. Since 2024 she pursues new projects and stepped back as one of our two CEOs. Luckily, she is still part of our photographers team and will bring her unique, detailed, street-style and mindful spirit into your wedding day. Not to forget the years and years of experience she has in this field of photography :)
MARISA: PHOTOGRAPHER
Marisa joined the Federn & Posaunen adventure not too long after our founding year and is part of our team since 2018. We had the pleasure to attend our photo class at “die Graphische” together and never quit contact since. With a lot of empathy, reliability and the eye for the most beautiful light and details, she enriches our work at weddings. Besides wedding photography, Marisa is currently working in the portrait field and is especially focused on analogue photography.
